Matador Travel, an online travel blog, published an article I wrote about Kenya's 6 best national parks! You can read it here. If it weren't for the word limit I would have kept going - each park has its own draws, and it's tough to say one is better than the other. But I did, because I could.
I'd be curious to know, in retrospect, how you rate your PC experience in Kenya?
ReplyDeleteI was a former PCV in Korea in the 70's.
I had a great experience. The Peace Corps administration and their beloved rulebook gave many volunteers a headache, but I paid little heed to any of it. Peace Corps still gave PCVs a great amount of freedom and flexibility in their jobs while providing us with great cultural and language training (technical training left much to be desired, but there is only so much that they can do). I think of Peace Corps as the vehicle that got me to Kenya; once I arrived it was Kenya that got me to stay.
